Senior Care Topics: September is Healthy Aging Month

Did you know September is Healthy Aging Month?  Did you even know there was such a thing?  Their tagline says it all, "because there's lots of living left to do...."

Consider this from Fox News:  "In the U.S., centenarians [those 100 years older]  are expected to increase from 75,000 to more than  600,000 by midcentury. Those primarily are baby boomers hitting the 100-year  mark."  So brush up on your grade-school math or get out that trusty calculator to figure out how many more years you could have to live.

If you are like us and nearly all of our senior care clients, we want all those remaining years to be as comfortable and productive as possible.  As Carolyn Worthington, editor-in-chief of Healthy Aging Magazine® and executive director of Healthy Aging® states, "We saw a need to draw attention to the myths of aging...it's never too late to get started on something new."

Healthy Aging has 10-tips for making the most of your golden years.  One of their suggestions is to get a job.  Well, we have good news:  Seniors Helping Seniors is always looking for loving, caring, compassionate seniors who want to help other seniors who need a little help.  If you live in Northern Chester County, Western Montgomery County, or Upper Bucks County in PA, why not give us a call?  And, yes, we pay you for your service.  Even if you don't live in our area, give us a call and we can refer you to the right person near you!

In keeping with the theme of healthy aging, a few of our earlier topics can provide some advice for making your aging healthier and safer:
